As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents. In this armed role, you will interact with staff and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to situations as needed. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing appropriate de‑escalation techniques when necessary. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence. Monitor for potential threats or suspicious activity, and report findings according to site protocols. Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate any unusual conditions to management and/or law enforcement as appropriate. Support access control by verifying credentials when necessary and ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor while providing a welcoming and secure environment for visitors, employees, and vendors. Minimum Requirements Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or possess a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a Level III armed certification if working in Texas. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
